"Be a Farmer" workshops are designed to help you explore various aspects of farm life: nurturing soil, planting, caring, harvesting, post harvest processing etc. 
A hands-on learning experience that meticulously covers every aspect of farm life and farming through different modules that can be attended together or in phases.

Meet Kirtana

An opportunity to explore Kirtana and understand the key elements of setting up and running a farm.  

Duration: 1-2 days

Activities: Farm Tour, Meet the Family, Design brief, Energy harvest, Maintenance Tools 

Grow and Grow

We organize this workshop mostly during the two key planting/ sowing seasons (July and October) or as per demand.  

Duration: 1-3 days

Activities: Nursery preparation, Tree Pit Preparation, Vegetable/ Crop bed preparation, Seeds germination, Transplanting

Return and Reinvest

This workshop is organized during the harvest seasons (October-November, January-February).  

Duration: 1-3 days

Activities: Seed saving, Crop harvest, Threshing, Cleaning, Storing

Close the Loop

It is the cyclical nature that ensures regeneration and continuity in an ecosystem. On a farm, it is vital to create cyclical systems that will support self-sustenance. 

These modules are designed to help individual move towards self reliance. Modules are independent and can be attended together or in sequence.

Everything Counts

In the process of farming or staying on a farm, the residues produced should find an utility or go back to soil.  

Duration: 1-3 days

Activities: Composting, Rain water harvesting, Solar Installation, Grey/ Black water management

Making Essentials

When we choose to stay on a farm, it is helpful to fulfil most of our essential needs with farm materials/ produce.

Duration: 1-5 days

Activities: Sustainable construction, Tailoring, Household cleaner and toiletries  making

Farmer's Finance

For sustenance of a farm life, knowledge of personal finance, accounting and financial investment avenues is vital. 

Duration: 1-3 Days  

Module: Basics of Personal Finance, Accounting, Financial investment instruments 

Guidelines for Visit:

» Prior registration and confirmation is necessary before visit

» Programs/ Workshops will be conducted in partial/ full silence

» Limited access to mobile/ laptop 

» Stepping out or outside food is not permitted 

» We serve plant based food
