Our Story...

Our (Puspita and Satyajit) wish to create a platform for human well-being and self-sufficiency started taking shape in October, 2020. On a barren deforested land (measuring 2 acres, located in Keonjhar Odisha), we started the beautiful journey by nurturing the soil and planting local trees. It was like a clean canvas and we started painting our feelings on it. With time, the soil health has improved and is able to support growth of many trees, annual crops and vegetables. We consider ourselves fortunate to witness the return of natural ecosystem on the land.

We fondly named the place "Kirtana". The word literally means "Telling a story in a melodious way."

In 2026, we decided to open Kirtana for well-being programs and workshops on self-sufficiency. We wish to share our learning and experience with individuals on a similar journey. Kirtana is a very minimalist family run center, where we warmly welcome you to explore our little cocoon.
